Artemisia Earrings, sculptural representation of "Maria Maddalena come la Malinconia", by italian painter Artemisia Gentileschi. This jewel is part of the Museum collection, created in order to encourage the consumption of art, the study of history and the appreciation of culture, sharing knowledge through clothing and generating conversations around the theme of art history. A timeless, elegant and exclusive design, in recycled silver 950 with oxidation details.
Artemisia was born in Rome, 1593. The artist was the daughter of a painter which was a very close friend to Caravaggio, Orazio Gentileschi, and began to paint as a child, influenced by her father, following the same aesthetic of the caravaggesco style, with works where the strong contrast between light and shadow was characteristic. It is noticeable in the work of the painter not only feminine themes, addressing several biblical personalities, but also the strong combination of feminine strength and representation of violence.
